Cargo can be delivered to the terminal starting Friday , May 1st , 2026 (with a valid and confirmed reservation).

 

Cargo Delivery Procedure

To schedule an appointment, you must have a valid and confirmed cargo space reservation.

An appointment is required for cargo reception at the terminal.

-Cargo for Voyage 1 can be delivered from May 1st  until the cut-off of the first departure wave.

-Cargo for Voyage 2 can be delivered from June 15 until the cut-off of the second departure wave.

-Cargo for Voyage 3 will be accepted from July 27 until the cut-off of the third departure wave.

To ensure smooth operations, we kindly ask that you schedule your appointment 24 to 48 hours in advance. An appointment date and time will be assigned for your reference.

 

OPERATING HOURS

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM (Except on holidays).

Please include the following information in your appointment request:

  • Client's name
  • Reservation number
  • Nature of the goods (description, full dimensions, and weight)
  • Completed shipping notice (vehicle, machinery, or general cargo)
  • Desired date/time
  • Transport company name

Cargo is available +/- (3-4) business days after the ship has unloaded.
A provisional receipt will be issued and sent to the client.
Provisional receipts are mandatory when scheduling an appointment for cargo pick-up.
Cargo will be stored at the terminal for a maximum of 30 days without storage fees. After this period, additional fees may apply.

 

Please ensure you have your safety equipment (boots, helmet, vest).

PORT OF BECANCOUR
FOR CARGO DELIVERY AND PICK UP

Delivery Instructions:

To avoid waiting periods for an offload

Truckers and brokers must schedule an appointment 24 to 48 hours in advance by email only at the following email address: becancour@qsl.com

  • Unloading appointments will be either in the morning or afternoon.
  • Truckers without an appointment will not be prioritised.
  • Truckers will not be admitted to the terminal after 3:00 PM.

 

OPENING HOURS

Opening hours are from 8:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

Please include the following information in your appointment request:

  • Client Name
  • Booking number
  • Cargo description (dimension and weight)
  • Completed Shipping Notice (Vehicle, equipment or general cargo)
  • Date and hour requested
  • Final destination
  • Road carrier

Once all information has been gathered, an appointment number will be provided.

Upon the Truckers’ arrival at the Port of Becancour, the drivers must present the following documents:

Show the appointment number.
Completed Shipping Notice.
Completed Dangerous Goods Declaration.

 

Cargo Pick up Instructions

Cargo is avaliable (3-4) business days after the cargo has been offloaded and entered in the system. 

A Dock Receipt will be issued and sent to the client along with the invoice. It is mandatory to have the Dock Receipt when making your appointment and picking up the cargo.

Cargo will be stored for a period of 30 days free of charge. After that, storage fees may apply.

FOR CARGO DELIVERY AND PICK UP

Cargo can be delivered to the Valleyfield terminal starting Monday, April 27, 2026.(with a valid and confirmed reservation) 

 

Delivery Instructions :

An appointment must be scheduled 24 to 48 hours in advance by email only at the following email address:operations@logistik.desgagnes.com

Anyone arriving without an appointment will be refused.

 

OPENING HOURS

  • Unloading appointments will be either in the morning or afternoon.
  • The terminal’s operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
  • Truckers will not be admitted to the terminal after 3:00 PM.

Please include the following information in your appointment request:

  • Client Name
  • Booking number
  • Cargo description (dimension and weight)
  • Completed Shipping Notice (Vehicle, equipment or general cargo)
  • Date and hour requested

Additional and important instructions once you have an appointment number

Notice for drivers arriving at the Port on the Appointment Day:

Drivers must report to the gatehouse with their appointment number and a valid photo ID to access the port.
They will then be directed to the main office where they will check in with our shipping/receiving department.
Our shipping/receiving department will inform drivers of where to wait for a checker to come and handle the loading/unloading.
Drivers must then return to the shipping/receiving office to collect their bills of lading.

**If you are delivering a vehicle, please arrange for transportation when scheduling your appointment, as Valleyfield Port is very large, and walking in the terminal is not permitted.

Deliveries outside these hours must be pre-approved.

 

UPON ARRIVAL AT TERMINAL

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

All shipments must include:

  • Bill of Lading (BOL)
  • Booking / Reservation Number
  • Shipping Notice specific to vehicles (UN3166)
  • Shipping notice for all other cargoes
  • Dangerous Goods Declaration (if applicable)
  • Incomplete documentation may result in refusal or delays.

 

CARGO ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS

Cargo must be packaged to the NSSI Shipping Guide standards, please refer to this link: Shipping Guide - Desgagnés Transarctik Inc.

Cargo may be refused if:

  • Improperly packaged
  • Unsafe to handle
  • Leaking or contaminated
  • Non-compliant dangerous goods
  • Missing required documentation

 

LABELING & SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS

Each cargo unit must display:

  • Destination
  • Booking Number
  • Consignee Name
  • Customer Name
  • Weight (kg)
  • Volume (m³)
  • Labels must be placed on at least two opposing sides (preferably four)

 

DANGEROUS GOODS

All dangerous goods must comply with:

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations
  • IMDG Code

Requirements include:

  • Proper labels and placards
  • Completed documentation
  • Trained personnel
  • Non-compliant dangerous goods will not be accepted.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Cargo must meet sailing cut-off dates
  • Late deliveries may not be accepted
  • Cargo must match booking details
